THE END OF THE ROAD?
The Dissenters were / are a vehicle for my songs and I have used the name for my backing band for over 20 years.
The Dissenters have had loads of different members as people come and go, mostly amicable with some notable exceptions, but the time has come to try someting new so The Dissenters are taking an extended possibly permenant break and I am moving on to some new projects.
New Americana Project
The project is me working with a collective called The Wall Of Sound which is a Leicester / Nashville collaboration with Nashville singer / songwriter Ridge Banks.
The WOS backed Ridge on UK tour and some recordings. Ridge is back in Nashville so they asked me if I would be interested in joining the project as singer / songwriter / frontman and to continue to work trans Atlantic with Ridge Banks.
Rehearsals are on-going and sounding great!
The plan is to play my Americana songs.
I have some new songs that have not been recorded that will be the focus.
I have written loads of Americana songs over many years and we will look at re-working some of them for recording and playing live.
